H.E Dame Heather McWilliam Selected as Top Human Rights Advocate of the Year by IAOTP
Heather McWilliam, CEO and Director of Brave Inspires Brave, was recently selected as Top Human Rights Advocate of the Year for 2023 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for her outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment to the industry.
Inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself; only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, longevity in the field, other affiliations, and contributions to their communities. All Honorees are invited to attend the IAOTP annual award gala at the end of this year for a night to honor their achievements.
With over a decade of experience in the industry, Heather has certainly established herself as a global inspirational authority and leader who promotes risk and achievement. She believes that her message of courage and her own personal path to the top would inspire individuals all across the globe to push themselves beyond their boundaries. She thinks that being bold motivates others to be brave and that this is the cornerstone for developing leaders and establishing their legacy. Her achievement demonstrates what boldness may not only achieve but also leave behind – a lasting influence from which we can all learn and be inspired.

Before embarking on her entrepreneurial path, she gained her leadership experience as a police officer both in uniform, as a Detective and as undercover officer. She also leads as a human rights advocate for mental health and disability rights. She also holds a certificate as a Reiki Practitioner I & II Wellness Within Health Spa & Yoga Centre, and has been recognized by the police service that she worked for, for her professionalism in training cadets and junior Detectives and highly regarded for her investigative skills along with receiving a team work award for high profile and multi jurisdictional work as a police officer, just to name a few.
Throughout her illustrious career, Heather has received many awards and accolades and has been recognized worldwide for her accomplishments by Hoinser Media Group. In 2020 she won a Landmark Human Rights case, at the the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario issued by the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. This year she will be considered for the Empowered Woman Award and to be featured in TIP (Top Industry Professionals) Magazine. She will be honored at IAOTP’s annual awards gala on stage at the NYC Plaza Hotel this December for her selection as Top Human Rights Advocate of the Year.
In addition to her successful career, Heather is a sought after speaker and global coach which she hosts annual events and conferences, which are supported by some of the world’s best-thinking leaders and visionaries.
