‘All Together, All On with K-Startup’ South Korea to showcase 91 innovative startups at CES 2024

CES Innovation Awards program is an annual competition honoring outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products.
 
At CES 2024, Korean companies have won 159 out of the 379 Innovation awards and seven Best of Innovation Awards from Consumer Technology Association (CTA), which hosts CES 2024 as of December, demonstaring its technological prowess.
 
Korea is one of the countries that fosters excellent venture companies and startups. At CES 2023, 111 out of 134 Korean Innovation Award honorees were venture companies and startups, while five out of nine Best Innovation Award honorees were venture companies and startups. At CES 2024, seven of Korea’s Best of Innovation Awards is venture companies and startups.
 
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups of the Republic of Korea (Minister Lee Young), which supports Korean venture companies and startups, opens “K-STARTUP Pavilion” for four days from January 9 to 12 (local time) at CES 2024 (Consumer Electronics Show 2024).
 
At “K-Startup Pavilion,” startups in various fields, namely AI, semiconductor, digital healthcare, mobility, ESG, agtech, etc, which were fostered by 23 startup support organizations in Korea, will display their products. More importantly, ten startups of K-Startup Pavilion have already won Innovation Awards.
 
Representatively, “Zikrypto,” which won the Best Innovations for a second year in a row and is to participate in the “K-Startup Pavilion,” won the Best Innovations in the field of “Cybersecurity and Personal Privacy” with its “zkVoting: PollStation,” a system that can safely deliver voting content without disclosing voter status and voting details.
 
In addition, “Sheko” which manufactures Sheko Ark-M, a water drone (USV) type water purification equipment that processes various pollutants generated at the sea and water areas, won Innovation Awards in the fields of “Drones and Unmanned Systems” and “Human Security for All,” respectively.
 
There are more awardees who received Innovation Awards. For example, “DeepVisions” which provides solutions that measure fine dust with video information using deep learning technology; “Waker” offering AI NLP-based stock market data solutions that convert unstructured stock market data into standardized databases; “THOTH,” an AI-based autonomous robot manufacturer completely dismantling electric vehicle wasted batteries; “Exorenal,” manufacturer of next-generation ultra-small hemodialysis machines; “Kangsters” which enables healthcare solutions for wheelchair users with their own wheelchairs; “MEMS,” producer of heat conduction gas sensors by leveraging a microheater thin film structure; “EverX,” a company that provides musculoskeletal digital treatment mobile applications using AI technology; and “Life On Korea” provider of ready-made interior design platforms.
