The Emperial Hulk: Management Expert Patrick Sullens on Being a Reliable Source of Insight for Go-Getters
In the face of trials and difficulties, one can either give up or carry on. Those who choose to do the latter know that nothing is more fulfilling than being able to survive seemingly insurmountable challenges with a deeper understanding of their inner strength. As a matter of fact, anyone who has been through rock bottom can attest that hitting such a low point in their lives has helped shape their character and strengthen their mindset. This is the case for Patrick Sullens, a management expert whose primary goal is to inspire individuals from all walks of life.
As someone who has been through his fair share of obstacles, Patrick Sullens is intimately familiar with rising above adversities and using past struggles as building blocks for success. Back in 2008, he was hit by an 18-wheeler truck, leaving him with three major spinal fusions. A year later, he would once again encounter another tragedy when he got hit by a drunk driver. The mishap caused him multiple fractures in his neck and bruising of his brain stem.
After all the unfortunate things that happened to him, one would think that Patrick Sullens would easily succumb to the thought of giving up and having his adversities dictate his life. Unfortunately, because of the accident that took him nearly five years to recover, he was already unable to pursue his profession as an MMA athlete. However, the luminary proved to be a man of resilience and strength as he saw these difficulties as an opportunity to look for new ventures.
“During these challenges, I’ve found another avenue to remain healthy and strong. That is deadlifting and powerlifting. Hulking up at the gym is a therapy I wish I could describe to so many other people. A healthy way to excerpt stress while gaining healthy habits. Those who know my story and saw me pushing through the challenges understand my quote, ‘inspiration defines perseverance,’” Patrick Sullens revealed.
Fast forward to today, Patrick Sullens is now hailed as one of the most sought-after authorities in management. Currently, he is the co-general manager for RaceTrac north of Atlanta, a premier gas station with locations throughout the southern portion of the United States. His incredible leadership and outstanding skills in management have allowed him to continuously grow with the organization. Aside from leading and mentoring employees, he also embodies a remarkable work ethic that speaks volumes about the company’s core values.
With his long list of accomplishments in retail, Patrick Sullens received a Five-Year Award from RaceTrac in 2018. He also became the Inductee Marquis Who’s Who of America in 2020 and was featured on the cover of the magazine in 2021. In the same year, he was hailed as one of the Top 100 Influential People, gaining him the title The Emperial Hulk and placing 15th in Mr. Health & Fitness Competition for Muscle & Fitness Magazine in powerlifting in the heavyweight division even with a bad ankle. In 2022, he placed seventh in the same category while healing from his ankle ligament surgery.
“Serving others and bringing smiles on faces daily is the platform I desire to wake up every morning to pursue. It’s also allowed me to network among several stores across the counties to network with some amazing people to support our communities,” he said. Proving to be unstoppable at his game, he intends to continue fulfilling his mission of enabling success for others and helping them in their respective careers.
