Renowned author Carl Berryman brings an epic dystopian novel depicting a ‘barely recognizable’ America in “Divided We Fall”

Laced with tales of armed combat and political intrigue, renowned author Carl Berryman’s epic dystopian novel “Divided We Fall” has taken digital book stores by storm – and there is much to be savored in this highly rated book.
The book revolves around the story of Ethan Bradley, who is wanted by the state over his opinions on the Second Amendment, which protects the right to keep and bear arms. Ethan’s wife, a liberal, has dumped him. Now, Ethan has been commissioned to take the helm at a brigade of infantry in the Big Horn Basin, Wyoming. Afterward, the Republic of Nation of Missouri acquires independence. Although President Newkirk has stepped up efforts to prevent the Union from splintering, that did not prosper, and Ethan is now put on trial and jailed for attempted murder and treason.
This impressive dystopian novel takes an in-depth look at the radical perspectives of the socialists towards the democratic-republican setup of the United States government. While there is consensus among socialists that political correctness should always be upheld in the United States, liberal leftist scholars and experts deliberately ignore its tyranny. Issues now arise as to the extent of freedom left in society and the armed forces’ role in this mayhem.
Berryman then poses these questions: “What will the American people do when tyranny and political correctness become the law of the land? Where are the George Washingtons and Benjamin Franklins that we need today? Liberal leftist educators deliberately ignore the tyranny of the increasingly socialist movement of government under the guise of political correctness. What freedoms are we willing to surrender? Who of our youth are willing to serve in the armed forces?”
As politicians are laser-focused on extending their tenure and consolidating power, concerns about the loyalty of the armed forces are brought to the fore. Will it stand behind the President or the people whom it truly serves? This kind of question makes “Divided We Fall” an exciting read about a “barely recognizable” America.
Carl Berryman obtained a bachelor’s degree in zoology and a D.VM. Degree from the University of Missouri. After practicing large animal medicine in Montana, he joined the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
Before becoming a best-selling author, Berryman had 13 tours in more than two decades. Along his journey as Lieutenant Colonel, Berryman obtained a Master of Public Health Degree from the University of Minnesota, specializing in zoonoses and infectious diseases. He also finished two years of graduate training in Veterinary Pathology at Texas A&M University.
