About the Author
This is Harry Foster’s first book but thinks there will be two more comings. In the early years, Harry worked at a number of Jobs, starting off as an Office boy in an Advertising company, to aircraft maintenance to becoming a fitter-welder in Toronto. These skills served him well as he worked his way around the world after having met his future bride in Australia. His love of photography started in Singapore, where he bought his first decent camera. After returning to Canada, he went back to school to get his high school diploma, meanwhile developing his photography skills. He started work in the National Museums of Canada in 1969.
After 1.5 years, he and his wife decided to go back to New Zealand as Harry had not yet met his wife’s family. They stayed almost four years before returning to Canada and Harry getting his Museum job back. During the years in New Zealand, he worked with the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research as a photographer, picking up a lot of new skills. He worked with the Museums in Ottawa for 32 years before retiring in 2005.
