Schneider Electric, the global leader in energy management and automation, has announced that applications are now open for the second edition of the Schneider Electric Sustainability Impact Awards. The awards aim to recognize the efforts of companies in creating a more sustainable and electric world.

This year, Schneider Electric has expanded the eligibility criteria to include not only its partners but also customers and suppliers. The updated selection criteria focus on companies’ efforts to achieve net-zero targets through electrification and digitization. The new award categories introduced this year include “Impact to my Customers,” “Impact to my Enterprise,” and “Impact to my Enterprise for Large or Midsize suppliers.”

In addition to recognizing decarbonization efforts, Schneider Electric now takes a more integrated approach to sustainability, looking at companies’ initiatives to strategize, digitize, and decarbonize. This includes improvements in energy efficiency, the implementation of digital tools and technologies, and other examples of impact and innovation.

Submissions for the awards will be open until November 17, 2023. Global winners will be announced in April 2024. Along with valuable recognition, award winners will also benefit from increased visibility, which could lead to new business opportunities.

Rohan Kelkar, Executive Vice President of Power Products at Schneider Electric, expressed the company’s commitment to collaborating with its ecosystem of partners, customers, and suppliers to accelerate the path to net-zero. Kelkar highlighted the power of numbers and the importance of celebrating and empowering positive change within businesses’ operations.

To participate in the Schneider Electric Sustainability Impact Awards, companies can register their interest online. The regional finalists will be shortlisted, and one global winner will be selected.

The 2024 edition of the awards builds on Schneider Electric’s Partnering for Sustainability initiative, which aims to empower its extensive partner ecosystem to contribute to a more sustainable future. As part of this initiative, Schneider Electric has also launched the Schneider Electric Sustainability School, a free educational resource for companies worldwide to accelerate their decarbonization journeys.
