The rack needed to be lightweight and require no tools for a quick, easy assembly. After many failed attempts, Verse Fitness created a design with the correct folding geometry and stabilizing hardware (such as dual spring pins, thru-hole set screws, and industrial draw latches) that would make it portable to allow users to store it under a bed, in a closet, or put in the trunk of a car, while still being strong enough to hold up to 500 pounds.

Verse gave a prototype of the Agile Rack to Kheaton, a Los Angeles firefighter, who shared his thoughts, “Being able to set it up, work out, and put it away, all within an hour, is pretty cool. There’s always a line at the gym for the squat rack because it’s so versatile,” he adds. “I think that’s the beauty of this product. No matter where you are or what kind of space you have, it won’t take up your everyday space.” Liz, a yoga instructor and another beta tester shared Kheaton’s views on the Agile Rack, adding, “For someone like me, traditional gyms and weightlifting equipment can feel overwhelming and uncomfortable. Having the Verse Agile Rack at home has completely transformed my strength training routine, saving me time, money, and energy. It’s removing all of my excuses.”
