Latinas Rising Founders Celebrate #1 International Best-Selling Book “AMIGAS Rising: Lifting Others as We Climb”
In less than 33 hours, AMIGAS Rising: Lifting Others as We Climb soared to the top of the charts, earning #1 International Best-Selling Status across the U.S., Brazil, Canada, and Mexico, with recognition in 58 Best-Selling Categories – including 18 #1 rankings.
The groundbreaking anthology, co-compiled by Esmeralda Aharon and Gabriela Ramírez-Arellano has created a movement! Through deeply personal and courageous stories, the authors and their contributors reveal how mujeres rise with resilience, courage, and comunidad, while lifting others along the way.
A Movement Rooted in Empowerment
As co-founders of Latinas Rising, Gabriela and Esmeralda are on a mission to empower women to reclaim their power, strength, and voice through authorship, mentorship, consulting, and community. Their organization builds intentional networks of modern trailblazers, ensuring women have the resources, support, and platforms to rise and to thrive.
“Amigas Rising was inspired by the women who have shaped our lives, mentored with heart, and fostered collective success,” said Aharon. “We wanted to spotlight these stories and remind readers that none of us rises alone.”
Lessons in Resilience, Courage, and Comunidad
The anthology’s chapters feature authentic accounts of leadership, mentorship, and collective success, while navigating grief, breaking barriers, and finding one’s voice after years of silence. While each story carries unique lessons, collectively the book celebrates vulnerability, empowerment, and the shared commitment to lift others as we climb.
“Our stories show that stepping forward powerfully isn’t about having it all figured out – it’s about choosing courage in everyday moments,” said Ramírez-Arellano. “Say yes to yourself, build intentional comunidad, and embrace reinvention. Every time you do, you rise stronger.”
From Grief to Purpose
Both Ramírez-Arellano and Aharon have transformed profound personal loss into legacies of resilience and empowerment.
Gabriela rebuilt her life after divorce and the unimaginable loss of her children, Edward and Marcela. Today, she leads boldly and writes in their honor: “My greatest joy is living the life they can no longer live – turning pain into purpose, and lifting others as I climb.”
Esmeralda, a U.S. Air Force veteran, turned the grief of losing her son Hillel into 26 years of service in Religious Affairs, mentoring service members and families through life’s toughest challenges. This journey fueled her mission to co-found Latinas Rising, write bestselling anthologies, and create spaces for women and communities to thrive.
Passion That Builds Legacies
Beyond their writing, both women are deeply passionate about fostering belonging and empowerment.
Ramírez-Arellano amplifies voices through her work at the Cortex Innovation District, the BALSA Foundation, and platforms like the Auténtico and She Led Badass podcasts. “Every story I share gives someone else permission to rise,” she says.
Aharon models resilience daily through teaching, consulting, and writing. Her leadership fosters spaces where equity, strength, and community success flourish ensuring the next generation rises even higher.
Inspiring Readers to Rise
The message of AMIGAS Rising is clear: thriving is not perfection, but persistence. It is about embracing authenticity, lifting others, and leaving a legacy that extends far beyond oneself.
“Shine so boldly that the next generation never feels the need to dim their light,” Aharon writes. “Together, we rise higher, stronger, and unstoppable.”
