The Future Isn’t Approaching: It Has Arrived. And Most of Us Haven’t Even Noticed.
HuMachine Era: Artificial Intelligence and the Reshaping of Society’s Future by Madee Salehi PHD (Author), Madee Salehi (Author)
Written with urgency and clarity, HuMachine Era delivers not a warning, but a roadmap. One that leaders, policymakers, educators, investors, students, and citizens can no longer ignore. The future we imagined is no longer ahead of us. We are already living inside it.

In his groundbreaking new book, HuMachine Era: Artificial Intelligence and the Reshaping of Society’s Future, sociologist and technology analyst Madee Salehi delivers a bold and unsettling message: AI is not just transforming the world around us—it is transforming us.

With the precision of an engineer and the insight of a social theorist, Salehi dismantles the comfortable myth that AI is “just another tool.” Instead, he reveals a sweeping revolution already underway—one that is merging human and machine intelligence into a new, unprecedented identity: the HuMachine. A HuMachine is not a robot. More precisely, it is the generation emerging right now. Today’s children are growing up inside an AI-saturated environment that will shape how they think, learn, socialize, and even perceive reality. They will operate with cognitive patterns that are foreign to older generations. Meanwhile, the social landscape around them is shifting at breakneck speed, unraveling assumptions we once believed unshakeable: professions, authority structures, education, and even the meaning of being human.

Salehi argues that these changes are not speculative; they’re already here. The book exposes:

  • the erosion of traditional professional identities,
  • the quiet collapse of long-held authority systems,
  • the rise of AI as a societal actor rather than a passive tool,
  • the profound risks of misunderstanding what AI truly “knows,”
  • and the looming power struggle between human agency and algorithmic influence.

Written with urgency and clarity, HuMachine Era delivers not a warning, but a roadmap. One that leaders, policymakers, educators, investors, students, and citizens can no longer ignore. The future we imagined is no longer ahead of us. We are already living inside it.

The ultimate question, posed bluntly by Salehi, demands global attention: In a world where humans and intelligent machines converge, who will ultimately control the levers of power?

About the Author

Madee M Salehi stands at the rare intersection of advanced technology and social science. He began his academic career at Purdue University, earning a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Even as an engineering student, his intellectual curiosity stretched far beyond circuits and systems, leading him to explore the dynamics of social, economic, and industrial change.

This path inspired him to pursue graduate studies in Sociology at Michigan State University, specializing in social change, technological evolution, and the structure of industrial societies.

After nearly a decade of teaching sociology as a professor, Salehi temporarily left academia to deepen his expertise in emerging technologies. Over seven additional years of graduate-level work in mathematics, computer science, computer engineering, and the design and development of artificial intelligence systems. His academic career has been gaining a rare dual fluency in both technology and society.

This unprecedented fusion of knowledge forms the backbone of the HuMachine Era, making Salehi one of the few thinkers capable of explaining not only how AI works, but what it is doing to us and what it will make of our future.
