This year, based on colleagues’ descriptions of their hometown delicacies, twelve “Flavor Cities” were carefully selected to celebrate and pass on the excellence of Chinese culinary culture.
1. Xichong, Sichuan: Sausages sliced thin and served cold; refreshing houttuynia salad; irresistible Mapo tofu; along with spicy noodles, mala hotpot, and skewers. Mr. Song’s hometown is Xichong, Sichuan Province. He is a multi-disciplinary entrepreneur, cultural scholar, and business columnist, with extensive writings on Huaqiangbei and notable achievements in semiconductors, electronic information, Beidou navigation, and commercial culture research.
2. Maoming, Guangdong: White-cut chicken, roast duck, braised pork, steamed fish, pigeon, and boiled shrimp. Sales Manager Luo Yanping brought Ai rice cakes and peanut crisps, while Finance Assistant Wang Xiaofeng contributed both delicacies and an excellent Spring Festival essay.
