The six-month campaign spanned four major activations across New York City, engaging thousands of consumers and building sustained buzz in the months before and after the January 2026 store opening.

Sweeter managed the entire lifecycle of the campaign from concept to completion, delivering strategic activations in Meatpacking District, Williamsburg, and SoHo. The phased approach began in September 2025 with intimate neighborhood introductions and scaled progressively toward the flagship launch, creating momentum through consistent quality experiences rather than one-time events.

The activation strategy centered on pairing premium product sampling with elevated culinary experiences that reflected SKIN1004’s Korean heritage. Sweeter’s culinary team developed authentic Korean hotteok from scratch, traditional warm pancakes filled with brown sugar and cinnamon, served in custom-branded bakery paper. For later events, Sweeter partnered with Lysee, a NYC-based Korean bakery, to serve vanilla financiers alongside decadent hot chocolate and Vanilla Rooibos Tea.

Each activation required complex operational coordination. Sweeter secured permits in four distinct neighborhoods, deployed both branded coffee carts and full promotional food trucks, and executed flawlessly despite extreme weather conditions including a December snowstorm and February temperatures of negative 13 degrees. Custom fabrication included branded newspaper racks and 8,000 custom-printed broadsheets distributed across multiple events.

The results demonstrated exceptional consumer enthusiasm. Guests lined up as early as six hours before activations opened, with hundreds waiting in sub-zero temperatures during the February event.

Beyond the four marquee weekend activations, Sweeter supported SKIN1004’s broader New York presence through brand ambassador street teams, tearaway mural wall staffing, and security coordination for exclusive influencer events.

By the time SKIN1004’s SoHo flagship opened in January 2026, thousands of New Yorkers had already tried the products and formed positive brand associations through quality neighborhood experiences. The campaign transformed a retail opening into a cultural moment, demonstrating how strategic experiential marketing builds communities of advocates rather than just announcing store locations.
