About the Author
Lisa M. Pritchard is a children’s author passionate about nurturing faith, character, literacy, family values, and a love of learning through storytelling. Two years ago, the door to the writing world opened for Lisa, and she joyfully stepped through, seeking God’s guidance as she creates stories that encourage children and families.
Lisa holds a B.S. in business from High Point University and a master’s degree in education from North Carolina State University. A former Teacher of the Year, she has served on county and state literacy teams and led educational workshops. She is a member of Word Weavers, AWSA, and ACFW, is Speak Up speaker certified, and serves as Vice President of her community women’s club.
Lisa’s heart for service has taken her on multiple mission trips to Ukraine, Romania, and Moldova. She has also participated in “Coats to the City” in New York City, served through other mission efforts, and organized and led a Back Yard Bible Club.
Dirt Dog Invites Prissy Poodle to the Prom is the first book in the Dirt Dog and Friends Series for ages 4 to 8. Book two, Tiny Tot Tiger Says Happy Birthday, America!, will be available for pre-order on May 12, 2026, with release on June 2, 2026. Book three, Cool Cat Moo Moves to a New School, is planned for Spring 2027.
Lisa is also co-authoring Pets to the Rescue, A Cousin Crew Series, a six-book children’s series for ages 7 to 10. She contributed a light romance to the newly released Carolina Tides, a beach anthology, with all proceeds donated to two women’s shelters.
